Last Saturday we have went to “Nature Walk at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort”. In this activity we have learnt how to identifying trees. To identifying the trees can see their tree shape, leaf shape, flower and tree trunk. Beside not just identify the trees it can know also the tree belong to which family. Like Moraceae , Caesalpiniaceae , Cycadaceae , Arecaceae etc… As I remember “Rainbow Shower Tree” is a natural hybrid of two Cassia plants- Pink Shower (Cassia javanica) and Golden-Shower (Cassia fistula). Temple Tree’s flowers are key ingredients of Five-Flower Chinese Herbal Tea. But my favorite trees are “Star Apple” and “Chinese Banyan”. Because the Star Apple’s leaf has two colors, one side is color yellow and one side is color green. It is quite special!
Even though was very hot and tired, but I can still learnt the important of the tree and learnt how to identify the tree. What a wonderful experience that I have~!
